FH302 is correct that the IAF currently do not have the MICA in their inventory (but you never said that in your article either :-) Their current BVR capability is limited to the first gen French 530D which is in the same class as US AIM-7 Sparrow. The MICA is an amazing BVR AAM because it has the ability to engage targets in the WVR envelope as well at standoff (BVR) ranges so unlike most other BVR AAMs, it can be used in both types of engagement.
